When you Feel Lost

Being Lost Can Lead to Being Found

Being lost doesn’t always mean not knowing where you are. Sometimes it means not knowing who you are, or where you’re going. It’s the disorientation of life not turning out the way you expected. It’s the ache of asking, “What’s next? What’s my purpose? Where do I fit?

These questions can feel heavy, even frightening. But being lost is not the end of the story. In fact, it’s often the beginning of something new. Being lost is the pause before the next chapter, the space where new beginnings take root. It’s uncomfortable, yes—but it’s also full of possibility.

At Cornerstone, we’ve met many people who felt lost when they first arrived. Some were navigating grief. Others were facing unemployment, illness, or major life changes. They came with uncertainty in their eyes. But over time, they discovered that being lost was not a permanent state. With community, encouragement, and hope, they began to find their way again.

Our building is a place where you don’t have to have all the answers. You don’t have to know exactly who you are or where you’re going. You just have to show up. And in showing up, you’ll find people who will walk alongside you until the fog begins to clear.

If you feel lost today, take heart. This is not the end of your story. At Cornerstone, we believe that being lost is often the first step toward being found.

There is a place for you. And it’s closer than you think.
