On summer Holiday? Join us for a church service in English at 11:00 every Sunday.
It’s finally the summer holidays – for those of us who live here in Spain, it is not quite the same as for visitors. We tend to stay in the cool and the shade as much as we can. We enjoy the pool or the beach early in the morning or in the evening when it´s cooler.
With the exception of our Sunday Service which is the same all year round at 11:00, our normal weekly activities will finish from 21 July until the week beginning 7 September, some have finished already.
We caution you to keep as cool as you can. Open the house up in the mornings, doors and windows to let fresh air in – in the afternoons or when the sun peeks near your doors and windows – close them all up again – to keep both the sun and the heat out! Pull down the persianas and put lights and fans on. It makes a difference!
If you are renting – please do not leave aircon on whilst you are out – it only takes minutes for it to cool when you come back in – and you save electricity.
If you only have fans – cool some water in the freezer and stand bottles in front of floor fans at night to be cool and get to sleep more easily. Place bottles on a towel first… to catch the puddles!
Cold wine, beer and gin etc. are wonderful but do drink plenty of water too. Keep yourself properly hydrated.
God created the earth and the seasons for us to enjoy – with man’s interference things are now more extreme… Please be safe.

Isaiah 40:29 “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” God renews our inner strength, enabling us to keep going with hope and resilience.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Every season, hot, cool or cold, has its purpose. We trust God’s timing, we don´t always understand it, but we trust it.
God is still here, still available, still faithful, the same yesterday, today and forever.
