Grief can be overwhelming and Painful
But you don’t have to deal with it alone
Every Friday at 13:00 - for widows & widowers or anyone experiencing the loss of a loved one
Grief is painful and often overwhelming. It’s not something we can simply cover up—it must be processed. Though confusing, grief can become more bearable when we know support is available. Having someone to sit with, listen without judgment, or offer help makes a difference.
Grief is a common experience, yet many try to face it alone. The kind of support needed can change daily—practical help one moment, emotional support the next. Having a network of caring, available people is a valuable source of comfort.
While being alone with memories has its place, sharing grief in a safe, confidential space brings relief and connection. Telling our stories helps prevent isolation, reminding us we’re not alone.
Expressing feelings of loss can improve emotional and physical wellbeing and plays a vital role in healing. Connecting with others who are grieving can “normalise” our own experiences and offer mutual support.
Each person grieves differently. Even within the same family, reactions to loss can vary. We must respect individual grieving processes and avoid judgment, even if we compare experiences.
Talking openly about loss is often difficult. It may feel uncomfortable to share something so personal and painful, especially when we’ve only expressed it in carefully chosen words.
Grief is unpredictable in how and when it appears. Yet, it always contains threads that connect us with others. The loss of a loved one is a natural part of life. You—or someone close to you—do not have to face it alone.
